Essential Responsibilities

+ Strategic Analysis / Planning: Analyze new growth opportunities and market trends in digital media. Self-directed financial, business analysis and research to value and prioritize new product/business development and content acquisition / production opportunities. Develop solutions to scale business, improve efficiencies or create new revenue opportunities.

+ Cross Functional Project Management: Develop metrics and reporting visibility to enhance management decision-making and prioritization. Implement recommended solutions.

+ Programming Strategy: Assist in crafting new media content and windowing strategies. Analyze traffic patterns to determine licensing and rights acquisition. Develop expertise around digital content to provide advisory role to broader NBCU.

+ Content Rights & Clearances: Create content rights and clearances processes and systems to maximize content monetization opportunities. Provide content clearance expertise and business affairs / legal support related to new media rights’ acquisitions & negotiations. Value, prioritize, and analyze evolving content strategies to inform programming and windowing decisions.

+ Business & Partner Development: Support the prioritization, structuring, negotiation and closing of 3rd party deals and new business opportunities.


Basic Qualifications:

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in a media company or related field, ideally in an advisory role (e.g. operations or strategic management consulting, business development, content distribution or equivalent experience)Eligibility Requirements:

+ MBA degree strongly desired

+ Prior experience with customer acquisition and subscriber / churn management preferred

+ Strong business analysis / financial skills, modeling, &/or strong strategic due diligence experience

+ Entrepreneurially focused, creative problem solver with demonstrated experience developing business strategy, tactics, and can implement recommendations

+ Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrated leadership and project management skills. Proven ability to think creatively and strategically while building cross-functional and cross-divisional relationships

+ Proven ability to think creatively and strategically while navigating difficult and complex issues in a large, highly matrixed, dynamic corporate setting

+ Familiarity and deep interest in relevant industry sectors: e.g. advertising, consumer products, traditional media (entertainment, broadcasting, cable, film, television, sports), internet, digital media, and/or technology

+ Excellent written, verbal, negotiation and presentation skills (able to create and deliver presentations to senior management)

+ Ability to work under pressure, within tight deadlines

+ Proficient use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT)

+ Ability to multi-task and self-direct projects

+ Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail
