The NBCUniversal Global Real Estate team is responsible for portfolio management and transactions for over 700 owned and leased properties in 39 countries and 188 cities, comprising 10 million square feet of interior space – including corporate offices, studios, warehouses, and technical facilities. We also sponsor a global workplace strategy program that will help attract and retain the best talent to NBCUniversal, and we provide design & construction guidance for many locations. We deliver successful projects by partnering with functional peers throughout the world, including operations, facilities, IT, finance, HR, sourcing, business affairs, and legal. Our team is distributed across NYC, LA, and London.
This position will report to the Senior Director, Global Real Estate and will be responsible for a segment of the company’s property portfolio, providing leadership on: strategy & planning, client relationship management, and transactional execution. Your segment of the portfolio will encompass between 100-200+ locations and 2-4MM SF of leased space, plus 10MM+ SF of owned land & buildings, including: administrative offices, broadcast & media production studios, warehouses, and communications infrastructure.
Here what you’ll do in this role
+ Build and maintain strategic consultative relationships with a variety of assigned business leaders, with either a geographic or line-of-business focus. Work with those business partners to develop short-, mid-, and long-range real estate goals and plans, in accordance with enterprise business objectives and guidelines. Also react and effectively manage a variety of unplanned or opportunistic real estate activities, as initiated by business partners or corporate leaders.
+ Plan, organize, and direct the efforts of various internal and external contributors to deliver on all real estate transactions from strategic planning through lease/contract execution, including: brokers, attorneys, and other professionals. Effectively prioritize efforts and load-balance resources among 20-40 simultaneous active projects at various stages of delivery.
+ In dotted-line fashion, manage 1-2 individuals dedicated by a preferred service provider to support the portfolio.
+ Assure consistent, regular, accurate, and wide reporting on project health (i.e. RAG status), with respect to scope, schedule, and budget; risks and opportunities, etc.
+ Personally deep-dive as/where needed to drive optimal results on high-value or high-risk issues or projects, including complex lease or sale negotiations.
+ Write and present various executive-level communications to provide recommendations, stimulate discussion, and/or drive decisions based on both qualitative and quantitative factors.
+ Assist GRE leadership in development of guidelines and best practices; process building and continuous improvement; and vendor performance management.
+ Other departmental duties as required.

+ You have 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate real estate management, with at least 2+ years showing responsibility and accountability for portfolio strategy and complex transactions.
+ You have an undergraduate degree (required), preferably in business, finance, or real estate.
+ You have experience converting real estate strategies into delivered & completed projects, leveraging a combination of fixed and variable resources.
+ You have experience working with a variety of property types / asset classes, ideally in a single role or portfolio.
+ You have experience personally negotiating a variety of transaction types (owned, leased, build-to-suit/pre-let, etc.) and strategic situations (consolidation, expansion, renewals, greenfield new build, etc.).
+ You have outstanding communications skills – written & verbal. Also have the ability to modify your communication style as appropriate, based on the audience, situation, and value/risks involved.
