Account Exec Trainee WNEM-N04212
The Account Executive Trainee assists the sales staff in generating sales presentations, enters orders, files contracts, assists with marketing projects and provides general administrative support for the department. The trainee will train with sales assistants to learn all systems, programs and assistant duties. They will participate in all Sales department meetings and receive training on the industry’s rating systems, industry and station software tools such as Scarborough, Wide Orbit, and Nielsen. They will participate in developmental training to advance to an Account Executive role including CSS Training and System 21 Training. This position also shadows Account Executives conducting market research and attends sales calls. Training period will be 12-24 months.
Work with Sales Assistants – Learning software systems and reports, enter contracts and orders in a timely and accurate manner. Review current orders and revises as required by Account Executive or management requests. Flags errors as appropriate and engages sales staff as needed to find an effective resolution.
Participates in developmental training to advance into an Account Executive role including CSS and System 21 initiatives, become familiar with station and industry specific software, industry ratings, evaluate market research, and shadow Account Executives on sales presentations.
Provides support to local accounts when Account Executives are absent; returns telephone calls, answers correspondence. Follows-up on issues/problems and routes to the appropriate individual for resolution. Organizes and maintains the sales department’s account records and filing system.
Greets clients and station visitors, answers and routes calls to sales department as necessary.
